Talking to media persons in Lokapriya Gopinath Bordoloi International (LGBI) airport in Guwahati, Arvind Kejriwal said, “In Assam in the past 75 years Congress, AGP, BJP had ruled, people have given special scope to all but no development took place, which ever party got power here cheated the people, only looted people,”.
“The BJP came to power here in 2016 and in Delhi. In 2015 AAP government was there but if you compare Delhi has progressed so well. We are doing good work in Punjab and now if we get scope in Asaam we will do well,” he stated.
He further said, “I heard what Himanta Biswa Sarma has said, he was threatening me, saying if he comes we will put him in jail. The people of Assam are not like that they are hospitable. They didn’t give threat. Himanta Biswa Sarma should learn about Assam culture and tradition. I invite him to Delhi, let him be my guest, I will serve him tea, take him around in Delhi,”.
“People of Assam are very nice. They believe in Atithi Devo Bhava. They don’t threaten guest like Himanta Biswa Sarma,” Kejriwal asserted.

Guwahati: The Centre of Indian Trade Union (CITU) has sought the complete rejuvenation of the Namrup based Brahmaputra Valley Fertiliser Corporation Limited (BVFCL) which has been on a verge of extinction due to low production and outdated machinery.
Addressing a press conference at the Greater Dibrugarh Press Club on Saturday, CITU Dibrugarh district president Kishore Chakravarty said that the government has failed to fulfill its promise of reviving BVFCL which is one of the oldest fertiliser plant of the country. The trade union leader also came down heavily on the Centre and the state government for the delay in setting up the proposed fourth unit of the fertiliser plant.
Former union fertiliser minister late Ram Vilas Paswan during his visit to Namrup on June 26, 2006, had announced that a state-of-the-art fourth unit of the BVFCL will be set up to revive the BVFCL fertiliser plant.
“Almost 17 years have passed when the first announcement for setting up a fourth unit of the BVFCL plant was made. But it only remained on paper. The first unit of the fertiliser plant was shut down 37 years ago while the second and third units are barely functioning. We want the government to take steps to revive the second and third unit to ensure 100 per cent production. At the same time the proposed fourth unit should be set up without further delay. The fate of 800 employees of BVFCL are hanging in balance,” Chakravarty said.
In 2018, the Centre had approved in-principle the proposal for setting up of a state-of-the-art brownfield ammonia urea unit (Namrup-4) at an estimated cost of Rs 4,500 crore. An equity share of 52% for Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilizers Limited (RCF), 26% for Oil India Limited (OIL), 11% for the Assam government and 11% for BVFCL was also proposed by the government.
However no progress has been seen since then. The Namrup-1 unit of the BVFCL which was set up in 1969 was shut down in while the remaining two units, Namrup-2 set up in 1976 and Namrup-3 set up in 1987 are struggling to stay afloat. Due to outdated technologies and machineries there has been huge decline in the production of urea in the two units in recent years because of which the fertiliser plant is unable to cater to the huge demand of urea in the country.

What is truly amazing, is that of the 23 unicorns added in year 2022, 9 have emerged from outside of the three top metro cities. The startup landscape has shifted substantially, with many investors raising their largest ever India-focused funds. And interestingly Bangalore- Karnataka today is no longer the only game in town. New Delhi (India), April 1: The Indian Premier League (IPL) is one of the most popular cricket tournaments in the world. With its fast-paced matches, exciting players, and nail-biting finishes, it is no surprise that millions of fans tune in every year to watch the action unfold. However, for many people, watching the IPL is not just about enjoying the game – it’s also about betting on it. In recent years, online sports betting has become increasingly popular in India, and with the rise of betting exchanges, it has never been easier to get in on the action. But with so many options out there, how do you know which platform to choose? That’s where Fairplay comes in.
Fairplay is one of the best real-money online gaming platforms in India, offering a wide range of sports betting options, including online betting on the IPL. With Fairplay, you can bet on everything from the winner of the match to the top run-scorer to the number of sixes hit in an inning. And thanks to Fairplay’s betting exchange, you can even place bets against other users, rather than just against the platform itself. This means you can get the best odds possible and potentially win even more money.
Fairplay also offers a special 300% first deposit bonus and a 5% loss-back bonus in every IPL match.
In-betting exchange is a platform that allows users to bet against each other rather than against the bookmaker. This means that if you think a particular team is going to lose, you can bet against them and potentially make money if they do. Conversely, if you think a team is going to win, you can offer odds to other users and potentially make money if they accept your bet. Betting exchanges typically take a small commission on any winnings, but because they don’t set the odds themselves, they can often offer better odds than traditional bookmakers.
Of course, online sports betting can be a risky business, and it is important to gamble responsibly. That’s why Fairplay has a number of measures in place to help you stay in control of your betting. For example, you can set deposit limits to ensure that you don’t spend more than you can afford, and you can also set time limits on your sessions to ensure that you don’t spend too much time betting. Additionally, Fairplay has a dedicated customer support team that is available to help you with any questions or concerns you may have.
In conclusion, if you’re looking to make your IPL-watching experience more fun and potentially profitable, online sports betting is a great way to do so. And if you’re looking for the best odds and the most exciting betting options, Fairplay’s betting exchange is the way to go. Just remember to gamble responsibly and enjoy the game!
