 With the first major challenge on the threshold of the company’s second century, Hafele proved its capability when dealing with the cyber attack at the beginning of February 2023. Just a few weeks after shutting down all of its systems worldwide, the company has re-established its ability to deliver and restored the majority of its business operations. The Reverse Buyer Seller Meet which was held at the Leela Ambience Convention Hotel on 22 and 23 March 2023, provided international audience with an optimum setting and platform for exchanging information and strengthening business relationships.

Shri Sunil Patwari, Chairman, TEXPROCIL stated that feedback from both the exhibitors and visitors showed that orders booked on-site at the two day event were about US$ 10 Million (approx. Rs. 82 Crs) while future estimated orders which were in negotiation phase were about US$ 50 Million (approx. Rs. 410 Crs). Assam: NSUI organises Vedic havan for imparting wisdom to PM Narendra Modi

Guwahati: The members of National Students’ Union of India(NSUI), Assam unit on Tuesday organised Vedic havan in Guwahati for imparting wisdom to Prime minister Narendra Modi.

The members holding posters ‘Murder of Democracy’ and ‘Voice of the Truth’ Rahul Gandhi ji while doing Vedic havan. The priest, who is also a member of NSUI was seen chanting Vedic mantra for imparting wisdom to PM Narendra Modi, Amit Shah and Himanta Biswa Sarma.

“We have organised the protest in every districts of Assam over the disqualification of Rahul Gandhi from his MP post. PM Narendra Modi and BJP is trying to destroy the democracy with the instruction of RSS which is not right for the people of the country,” said a member of NSUI.

He further said, “We have organised the silent protest all over Assam against PM Narendra Modi and BJP. This month is holy for all of us because this is the month of Ramzan and Navratri. So, we have prayed to God for imparting wisdom to PM Narendra Modi and he should follow the path of Gandhiji not Hitler,”.

Assam: Maha Vijay Diwas Celebrated

Guwahati: American historian Will Durant stated that the Islamic conquest of India is probably the bloodiest story in history. In 1205 AD, an Islamic invader Bakhtiyar Khalji came to this part of Bharatvarsha, then known as Kamrupa, with his army of ruthless religious fanatics. But King Prithu, the then ruler of Kamrupa decimated the entire army of Khalji and saved North East India and South East Asia from rape, plunder and subjugation by Islamic forces. Yet, the heroism of King Prithu is still underrated and only rarely known.

A dignified gathering of academicians, researchers and people with deep interest in the history of the region came together today at Rajaduar, North Guwahati, to commemorate and celebrate the decisive victory of King Prithu over the barbarian army of Bakhtiyar Khalji. Floral tribute was given to King Prithu at the very location of the no. 1 stone inscription which was inscribed on this day 817 years ago, to declare the victory. Speaking at the occasion, Assam kshetra’s Kshetra Prachar Pramukh of the RSS, Dr. Sunil Mohanti highlighted King Prithu’s war strategy in defeating Khalji’s army.

A national symposium on the topic “Maharaj Prithu: The Warrior King who Annihilated Bakhtiyar Khalji” was held at the Anundoram Borooah Institute of Language, Art and Culture on this occasion. This symposium was held in collaboration with the Anundoram Borooah Institute of Language, Art and Culture, the Kamrupa Anusandhan Samiti and the Folklore Society of Assam. Prof. (Dr.) Dilip Kumar Kalita, director, ABILAC, Assam welomed the participants and the audience of the symposium.

The national general secretray of the Akhil Bharatiya Itihas Sankalan Yojna Sri Hemanta Dhing Mazumdar gave the inaugural address. The keynote address was delivered by Dr. Raktim Patar, HoD, Dept. of History, Garhgaon College.

ICA Italian Wood Finishes – Good Taste Shows.

ICA has just released a short film depicting how their glamorous wood finishes influence people’s moods, tastes and preferences. ‘The Mother’s Visit’ is a unique film based on the simple insight that good taste can influence and win over even the most cynical and hard-to-please.

The film begins with an Italian couple welcoming the girl’s rather stern mother into their luxurious and well-designed home. At the outset, we see an air of nervousness between the three as the mother struggles with the fact that her daughter eloped and married without her consent. We see the young leave the room to give the mother some time and space.

Mother now left alone looks around herself. She spots a picture frame of the couple. As she looks at it she breaks into opera in Italian expressing her woes. She places the picture down on the console and gets distracted by its attractive metallic finish, Luxurious Moon Rock textures combined with a Satin Metallic touch. She looks quite impressed with the finish. Continuing to sing, she looks around herself, and slowly we see her mood start to shift from distress to joy and wonder. She catches her reflection on a dining table’s high-gloss ICA Lucido mirror finish and admires herself in it. She then saunters over to a wall with an artistic finish on it – ICA Maltawood (due to the use of colourless resins in their formulation, these products give the surface an elegant and polished appearance). Last but surely not least; she stops to take a selfie next to a gorgeous bar cabinet with knobs finished using the ICA Creativa Metal series (designed to give surfaces an antique look, while maintaining superior aesthetics). Its unique and distinctive look easily sets it apart from other wood finishes.

The luxurious house with its gorgeous finishes appears to have mesmerised the once-upset mother and uplifted her mood, even adding a new spring to her step. She seems to have accepted that even though her daughter married someone without telling her, she chose well  an aesthete, a man of good taste. The film ends with her in a joyful embrace with the young couple.
