Youth of the country has a pivotal role to play to make India Atmanirbhar by 2047: Sarbananda Sonowal
GUWAHATI, DEC 25: The Union Minister of Ports, Shipping & Waterways and Ayush, Sarbananda Sonowal called upon the youth and highlighted the pivotal role that the youth of the country has to play during the ongoing Amrit Kaal to make India Atmanirbhar by 2047.
The Minister was participating & addressing at the centenary celebration of Bahmolla Primary School near Sipajhar in Darrang district earlier on Sunday.
Speaking on the occasion, the Union Minister, Sarbananda Sonowal said, “It gives me immense pleasure to attend today’s wonderful occasion when Bahmolla Primary School has completed a century while spreading the light of education in this region & proving its key role in enabling the people & the society in the region to keep up the pace with the changing times & the world. I wish to congratulate everyone of you – the teachers of the past & the present, the students of the past & the present, the people of this region on this momentous occasion. For their untiring effort, I express my sincere gratitude to all those great souls whose invaluable contribution helped the school movealong a century of success, challenges but more importantly, withstanding everything, preserving the essence to remain a pious place of education & learning. I am confident that the school will remain steadfast in its path to spread the light of education as we continue to fight the darkness of ignorance.”
Highlighting the role of the education, Sonowal further added, “Under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister, Narendra Modiji, we are working hard towards becoming an Atmanirbhar Bharat by 2047. This is the Amrit Kaal of Bharat where we must buckle up and give our best effort towards building this new India. The youth of the country has a pivotal responsibility to play in this regard. The students must work hard and learn in order to enable themselves to contribute to this beautiful notion of nation building.”
Speaking about the role of nature, the Union Minister said, “Nature is ours, and we belong to the nature. We can only remain healthy if the nature remains healthy. We are responsible to maintain the nature & its ways to remain green. I have seen how the community & the people of Darrang & Udalguri districts have working hard towards this end and strengthening our agricultural power and at the same time emboldening our rural economy. Our traditional medicinal practices needs proper evaluation so that it becomes a tool of enrichment of human lives. We must practise yoga daily to remain healthy. Icall upon my beloved students to embrace this wonderful gift of our heritage in order to enrich your lives.”
The event was also attended by the Speaker of Assam Legislative Assembly, Biswajit Daimary; Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) from Kalaigaon, Durgadas Bodo; former MLA of Nalbari, Ashok Sharma, former Chairman of Assam Minority Development Board (AMDB), Mominul Awal among many other leading citizens from various fields from the region.
